Understanding CPC Campaigns

CPC (Cost Per Click) campaigns are a digital advertising model where you only pay when a user clicks on your ad. This makes them a popular choice for businesses looking to drive targeted traffic to their website.

Key Points to Remember:

  • CPC Rate: The minimum CPC rate is $2.
  • Activity Priority: CPC campaigns are set to Priority 12 in GAM. Priority Matrix below
  • No Guaranteed Delivery or Forecasting: Unlike CPM campaigns, CPC campaigns don't guarantee delivery or allow for forecasting.
  • Pay on estimates Model: Clients are charged the full amount regardless of delivery or not. Your Campaign Manager will work with you to move any remaining budget. If needed, a credit can be raised if the budget cannot be moved.
  • Priority Matrix
PRIORITY 1-4 = CPD or Sponsorships
PRIORITY 5-10 = CPM Display and PMP
    PRIORITY 11-12 = CPC/EVENTS/PG/CONTRA
    PRIORITY 16 = HOUSE ADS

Factors Affecting CPC Performance

Several factors can influence the performance of your CPC campaign. Here are some key areas to consider:

  1. Geo-Targeting: Expanding your geo-targeting to include larger regions can often lead to a larger pool of potential clicks.
  2. Creative: Ensure your ad creative is clear, simple, and visually appealing to attract clicks.
  3. Call to Action (CTA): Use a compelling CTA that encourages users to click on your ad and learn more.

Reinvesting Budget

If your CPC campaign is underperforming, you may want to consider reinvesting the budget into a different product or campaign. This can help you maximize your advertising efforts and achieve better results.

In Summary

CPC campaigns offer a flexible and results-oriented approach to digital advertising. By understanding the key factors that influence performance and being prepared to adjust your strategy as needed, you can effectively leverage CPC campaigns to drive traffic and achieve your business goals.
